You can sew the bags closed with galvanized wire. We use pieces 9″ long. You cut one piece and use it as a measuring device [to measure the others]. Cut the wire at an angle so you have a sharp end for stitching. Note: our wire is 15 gauge, which is about 1/16″ (1.8 mm) thick.
